Geography Awareness Week Guest Speaker Event, November 18th
To celebrate Geography Awareness Week this year, the ASPRS-SDSU student chapter will host a hybrid guest speaker event on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. The event has two parts:
(1) Luncheon (Indian food) with guest speakers from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm at Storm Hall 312
(2) The main event: speaker presentations and panel discussion from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Arts and Letters 101
The theme for this year's event is Women in Geography with a focus on GIS and remote sensing.
Everyone is welcome to join! Feel free to share it with your friends and colleagues.
Please fill out the RSVP form so we can estimate the number of people for the event, especially for the luncheon.

ASPRS is an imaging and geospatial information organization, sponsored by the Department of Geography at SDSU and the Pacific Southwest Region of the ASPRS. The chapter’s mission is to foster the exchange of ideas and information in remote sensing, photogrammetry, and GIS. We aim to spark interest in these fields and help students build successful careers through seminars, hands-on training, funded conference participation, and field trips.
